This stretch of the island's north end is less trafficked than the south end near Coligny and Sea Pines, which means the beach in front of the resort tends to be quieter and less crowded even in peak summer. The tidal movement here keeps the sand clean and the water clear — it's one of the better swimming beaches on the island.

The on-site dining options — Coconutz Sportz Bar, Jamaica Joe'z Beach Bar, and Gator'z Pizza & Wings — are casual, reasonably priced, and genuinely good. Coconutz in particular has a loyal local following for its wings and sports bar atmosphere.
