ELA'S On the Water

ELA'S sits right on the water at Shelter Cove Harbour, and on a clear evening the sunset views across the marina are genuinely spectacular. But the views aren't the reason locals keep coming back — the food is. This is one of the most consistently excellent restaurants on the island, and it's been earning that reputation for years.

The Crispy Diamond Scored Flounder is the signature dish and it's as good as everyone says — perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and the kind of thing you don't see done this well very often. The Crab Cakes are the real deal, no filler. The Pan Roasted Grouper is another standout. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing with local seafood.

This is a dinner restaurant — they do Sunday brunch too, which is worth knowing about. The atmosphere is sophisticated without being stuffy. Dress up a little, make a reservation, and plan to linger. It's one of those meals you'll talk about after the trip.
