"Started as a food truck cult favorite — the burger is still the whole point"
Tin and Tallow started as a food truck with a cult following for its gooey, perfectly constructed cheeseburgers and truffle fries — and now has a permanent location at the old Jarvis Creek General Store on the north end. The setting is great: oak-covered outdoor seating, live music on weekends, post-pickleball crowd on weekdays, coffee and pastries from Sweet Al's in the morning.
The burger is genuinely the best on the island. Not the fanciest, not the most expensive — the best. The kind of cheeseburger that makes you question why you ever order anything else. The truffle fries are the right call. Order both.
The outdoor vibe under the oaks is one of the more charming settings on HHI. Live music on weekends makes it a destination rather than just a meal.
