Hilton Head Island
30+ locally-owned specialty shops, restaurants, and live music in the heart of Hilton Head.
The Village at Wexford is the most distinctly local shopping destination on Hilton Head Island. While Coligny Plaza caters to beach tourists and Tanger draws outlet shoppers from across the region, Wexford is where the island's year-round residents actually shop, eat, and spend their evenings. The 30+ merchants here are almost entirely locally owned — many have been on the island for 20 to 30 years.
The village is laid out like a true town square, with two fountains, shaded walkways, and a relaxed pace that encourages lingering. It sits right on the island's bike path at mile marker 10.5, so it's a natural stop for cyclists. Dogs are welcome everywhere outside, and the patios fill up on warm evenings with locals unwinding after work.
The Jazz Corner alone is worth the trip — live jazz nightly in a proper supper club setting. It's one of the few places on the island that feels genuinely sophisticated without being pretentious. If you're here on a Wednesday, Wine Down Wednesday turns the whole village into a social event.
Live jazz nightly — one of the best music venues on the island.
All-you-can-eat churrascaria dining right in the village.
Fine dining Italian in a relaxed, elegant setting.
Coffee lounge with live local musicians — a morning favorite.
Upscale women's boutique with resort and casual wear.
Specialty olive oils and vinegars — a unique tasting experience.
